The Clark House
your day...your way.

The Clark House

One of Livingston's most beautiful homes can be yours for a day.  The Clark House was the home of Dr. Malcolm Clark and his family for over 45 years. The house was constructed in the early 1960s with much of the woodwork milled in neighboring Pickett County.  Dr. Clark was a gentleman farmer, raising Angus Cattle and Tennessee Walking Horses on his beautiful farm. The expansive grounds encompass the two-story Greek Revival house, the stable and the pavilion. Celebrate your wedding and reception in one of these incredible spaces, each with it's own unique atmosphere.

Outdoor ceremony spaces include the front porch and lawn, the back colonnade and lawn, which include a pergola and Wisteria gazebo, the adjoining terrace, the pavilion and stable. All are framed by a post and bar fence and shaded by mature, full maple trees.  The lawn and grounds feature wildflower gardens and afford incredible views of the pastures and ponds leading to Livingston's picturesque Hidden Valley. The lawns and terrace are shaded by 6:00 pm for a comfortable ceremony. Optional tenting may be rented for protection from the elements.

All are surrounded by our beautiful wildflower gardens.

The Greek Revival inspired pavilion will seat up to 150 guests with room for a stage and dance floor.  When the all-white pavilion is illuminated at night, it seems to is truly a magical setting.

Just Down The Road....

One of the most appealing aspects of having your event at The Clark House is it's centralized proximity to many of the Upper Cumberland's communities and towns. Located just off Highway 111, The Clark House is a short drive from Cookeville and Interstate 40.

If over-night accommodations are needed for your guests, a special rate is offered by the Cookeville Marriott.  Just mention The Clark House upon calling for information. The Clark House is also a short distance from beautiful Standing Stone State Park which offers small and large- group cabin rentals. In addition, Dale-Hollow Lake is just a short drive away as well; many marinas on the lake provide houseboat and cabin rentals.
